She has a destiny so great that even the gods fear her.

Constant hallucinations and the frequent conversations with the voices in her head, have earned eighteen-year-old Chloe Clever the not-so-coveted title of "Whack Job" in her home town of Adel, Georgia. Fed up with prescription meds and therapists, she wishes for a life where she is destined to be more than the butt of everyone's jokes and mockery.

Be careful what you wish for has never rung more true.

After a vicious attack and learning that her favorite rockstar is an Olympian god, she is thrust into her new life as the Oracle of Delphi, the prophesier of the future. Setting out to fulfill the prophecy she has been given, Chloe learns of how great she is to become, all the while fighting mythical monsters and trying to outwit the ever-cunning Greek gods who harbor secrets of their own. While on a mission to discover the Most Beautiful, she strives to uncover the mysteries of the demigod Prince who has sworn to protect her with his life…and threatens to win her heart in the process.

I love mythology books. I loved mythology ever since we learned about Greek Gods and Goddess when I was in 6th grade. The stories behinds them, and about them are so interesting and cool. Plus, they make for real fun YA and NA books!

From the start of the story we know Chloe is different then her classmates. She hears and see things they aren't really there, and is believed to be mentally ill. It isn't long before she learns she is an oracle. An Oracle who has important ties to Greek myth. Chloe meets Strafford Law, who is a demigod Prince and her protector, and some of his brothers and friends, they try to figure out the Prophecy of the Most Beautiful before things go out of whack. Pretty much though, things go out of whack.

I liked the story, there was action, adventure, their were parts that made me laugh. It had everything that I enjoy in a story! I loved Chloe's character, especially how she has a sharp tongue. I just wish she didn't dive head first into things with out thinking, but this is only book one in the series. There is still two more books for her to mature in.

Though I did love this book there was two things that I disliked. One being, there was a lot going on. But if felt like there was ten different conflicts going on at once and I found myself having to reread to understand what was happening. Second, Strafford and Chloe's friends didn't tell her anything. They kept secrets and it confuses the reader because then they end up getting all that information at once.

Besides those two things I really enjoyed the book. I loved Strafford and his use of words. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked up the definition "wanker" and...well you just look it up and see for yourself.

Lets talk about cliff hangers. That is the biggest cliff hanger that I ever read! I had such a big "WTF" moment. So many unanswered questions now!
